Dr. Reeder is a San Diego native and graduate of UC Berkeley. He has practiced optometry since 1988. His areas of interest include laser vision correction, visual rehabilitation of the partially blind, and specialty contact lens fitting.
Dr. Reeder has performed contact lens research for several contact lens companies, including Alcon Laboratories, Ciba Vision, Allergan Pharmaceuticals, and Polymer Technology. He is a clinical investigator with Paragon Vision Sciences for a special contact lens-based procedure called Corneal Refractive Therapy, also known as Ortho-Keratology. As one of the FDA clinical study investigators in 1999, Dr. Reeder was one the first in the U.S. to help patients see without glasses or daytime contacts lenses.
He continues to train other optometrists in corneal reshaping technology, and participate in continuing education to be on the leading edge of myopia control and prevention of nearsightedness.
Dr. Reeder provides charitable eye care through lions in Sight. He is married with two children, and enjoys music and tennis.
